This Privacy Policy explains how Dashbord ("Dashbord", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using Dashbord, you agree to this Policy.

1. The information we collect

We may collect the following kinds of personal information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, business name, ABN (if you provide it) and login details.
  • Content you enter — customer details, quotes, invoices, line items and notes you add to the Service. You are responsible for this content, including any personal information of your own customers.
  • Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser type, pages viewed and similar technical information.
  • Payment-related information — limited information needed to operate billing. Card details for processing payments are collected and handled directly by our third-party payment processors, not stored by us.

2. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you create an account, use the Service or contact us, and automatically through your use of the Service (for example via cookies and similar technologies). We may also receive information from third-party providers we use to deliver the Service, such as authentication and payment providers.

3. Why we collect and use it

  • To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
  • To generate quotes, invoices, payment links and reminders at your direction.
  • To process your subscription and payments.
  • To provide support, respond to enquiries and send service-related communications.
  • To maintain security, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet our legal obligations.
  • To improve and develop the Service. With your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, to send you marketing communications.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it to trusted service providers who help us operate the Service, including:

  • Authentication and identity providers;
  • Payment processors (such as Stripe);
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • Email and SMS delivery providers used to send reminders you initiate;
  • AI service providers used to power optional AI Business Manager features (for example, drafting quotes or reminders from text you provide).

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs and this Policy.

6. Security and data breaches

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Where a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

7. Marketing and your choices

Where we send marketing communications, we do so in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our messages or by emailing hello@dashbord.io. Service-related messages necessary to operate your account may still be sent.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

9. Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us at hello@dashbord.io and we will respond within a reasonable time. There are some circumstances where we may be unable to provide access or make a correction, in which case we will explain why.

10. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet our legal, accounting and reporting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

11. Children

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern or complaint, please contact us first at hello@dashbord.io so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to review it periodically.
